Nicky Whelan is an Australian model and actress who currently plays the role of Pepper Steiger in the Network Ten soap opera Neighbours.
Before Neighbours Nicky hosted a number of shows including Coxy’s Big Break, and played the fictional celebrity Chrissie Grant on Russell Coight's Celebrity Challenge, a spin-off of All Aussie Adventures. She has also posed for a number of Australian magazines including Ralph and Inside Sport.
Nicky Whelan has talent and is quickly making a name for herself in the Australian TV and Entertainment industry.
Starting in October Nicky will have an ongoing role in the hugely popular Network Ten drama 'Neighbours'. This will raise her profile both locally and internationally.

In 2003 Nicky had her first television break and was a TV host for the Nickelodeon Channel which ran daily for 2 weeks. Kids voted for their favourite Nickelodeon host and Nicky tied for first place. In 2004 Nicky gained more valuable TV experience and furthered her passion for acting, playing her role as Chrissie on Network Ten’s Telemovie, Russell Coight’s Celebrity Challenge.Later that year Nicky landed her first regular television co-hosting job with Network Seven’s ‘Coxy’s Big Break’ – a travel and lifestyle series for Melbourne which has seen her travel to many locations.
In 2005 Nicky became the host for Melbourne Woman, Network Seven’s ‘MW’ – a television program which provides a weekly wrap on Melbourne’s social scene, health and fitness tips, fashion makeovers and real estate advice. Nicky has also been co-host of the Night Racing at Moonee Valley for her fifth consecutive year. In this role, Nicky promotes the evening race events, attends functions and interviews celebrities and jockeys on-course. Nicky also features in the trophy presentation handovers.
Prior to Nicky’s TV presenting roles she worked as a full-time fashion model for over five years. She has graced the covers of some of our best known fashion magazines and featured in an Inside Sport edition in a full page colour spread. Nicky was announced as the 2004 Inside Sport Model of the year. Nicky continues to take acting and voice training classes and is keen focus her career towards acting.
